Terms of Service

Syft inspects content you choose for AI-writing signals, metadata, provenance and related evidence. By using Syft you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

AI-detection results are probabilistic estimates. They are never proof that a specific person did or did not write something, and they must not be used as the sole basis for accusations, disciplinary action, or any decision with serious consequences for a person. Syft presents evidence with its uncertainty attached; judgment remains yours, and you are responsible for how you use it.

Content you inspect stays yours. You retain all rights to it. You are responsible for having the right to inspect what you submit, so don’t run other people’s private documents through Syft without authority to do so. For explicit actions processed on our servers, you grant us the limited permission needed to process the content and return the result, as described in the Privacy Policy.

You must be at least 16 years old to create a Syft account. The Syft workspace requires an account, and so does viewing a result from the free AI check on our website. If you are using Syft on behalf of a school, company or other organisation, you confirm you are allowed to accept these terms for it.

• Keep your account credentials secure; you are responsible for activity under your account.
• No attempts to breach, overload, probe or abuse the service or its providers.
• No use of Syft to violate law or others’ rights.
• Metered features (such as server-side AI analysis) are subject to the allowances of your plan; circumventing metering is a breach of these terms.

Paid subscriptions are billed through Stripe under the price shown at checkout, in US dollars, and renew automatically each month or year until cancelled. You can cancel any time from your account’s billing page; cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid for, and you keep Pro until then. Prices may change with at least 30 days’ notice by email, applying from your next renewal. Where required by law, refunds are provided accordingly; otherwise payments are non-refundable.

You can ask us to delete your account at any time by emailing support@usesyft.com from the address on the account. We delete the account and its server-side records within 30 days and cancel any active subscription; the Privacy Policy lists what remains and why. Content in your browser is yours to delete locally.

Connecting Google Drive, Dropbox, GitHub or Notion is optional and governed also by those providers’ terms. You can disconnect at any time, which removes the stored credentials from Syft.

Syft is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. Detection providers, connected services and hosting can fail or change; where a check cannot run, Syft says so rather than inventing a result. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

We may update these terms; material changes will be reflected on this page with a new date, and continued use constitutes acceptance. We may suspend accounts that breach these terms. Questions: support@usesyft.com.
